Doctor Who is a British science fiction television programme produced by the BBC.
The programme is about the adventures of a mysterious non human time-traveler known as "The Doctor", who travels in his space and time-ship called the TARDIS(Time And Relative Dimension In Space), which appears from the exterior to be a blue 1950s police box. With his companions, he explores time and space, solving problems, facing the ghosts of the past and the aliens of the future.
Doctor Who is listed in the Guinness World Records as the longest running science fiction television show in the world and is the most succesful science fiction series of all time.
In 2005 the show had won a NTA awards,and in 2006,it has won a BAFTA and NTA award.
